I really like scifi. Whether we advance and live basically the same as now, get turbo guns like the girl here, or totally go back to having no technology like in the Post Man, I love almost any take on what the future will or could be

This is really well written article it almost sounds well...if you know anything about The Onion, you'll get what I mean
clipped from www.theonion.com

The unusually small man, who has refused to identify himself or give a reason for his presence in the vagina, was extremely disoriented throughout the incident, and, according to eyewitnesses, was "nude and covered in blood and gore." Though the man strenuously resisted rescue attempts, screaming and kicking wildly at medical personnel, he has not yet been charged with any crime.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM—In a bizarre case that has baffled medical professionals across the country, surgeons at Albuquerque's Veteran's Memorial Hospital removed a living eight-pound man from the confines of an area woman's vagina Monday.

Eight-Pound Man Removed From Woman's Vagina

Eight-Pound

The woman, Ruth Hessman, a 33-year-old systems analyst from nearby Plovis, was admitted to Veteran's Memorial Hospital late Sunday night complaining of strange, repeated abdominal pains and contractions occurring at regular intervals. When the painful episodes were five minutes apart, her husband drove her to the hospital.

Writer's Block: Dreams

  • Jul. 19th, 2008 at 6:05 AM

I have a recurring dream that when told sounds funny, but when I am in it is the most frightening thing I have ever experienced. In Dream World that is.

It's a dream where my mom's green mini van, an old on she traded in a very long time ago, breaks down/gets a flat either near a Walmart, or in the middle of Golflinks Quarter. She calls my dad, but can't see to get ahold of him, so she walks off into the dark talking on her phone whit one of her sisters, leaving my brother and me alone with the van. I'm always in the passenger's seat, and he is directly behind me in themiddle seat. We wait for what seems like hours. Dominic, starts to panic.

"Where's mom why is she taking so long?" he says. He's always seven or maybe younger in my dream.

"I dunno, she'll come back, just shut up. gawd you're being annoying Dominic, she's fine." I insist, actually rather frightened myself, but I have to be strong for him.

We wait more, and still she doesn't come. Sometimes in the dream she either leaves her cellphone in the car, or it materializes the way objects will in dreams. And some one calls. I don't recognize the male voice as one I have ever hear before, and I can never remember what he says. Sometimes it's my mom warning me telling me I have to get out of there, drive the van as far from where we are as I can. When I try to protest the van is broken she is cut of and I just KNOW what to do. As if I have driven before.

"Buckel up, Dominic, of you get hurt it's not my fault" and we are speeding down the road, the one by the Walmart, or Golflinks Quarter.

Often in the Walmart Dream we will lose the van somehow and I am pushing a very frightened brother down the road, running as fast as I can from what my mom tried to warn me about. It's a man, who looks like he might be homeless, and has an evil glint in his eye. It's unmistakable what he wants to do. He has every intention of killing my brother and me.

I've never seen the ending of the dream.
